The Learning Resource Center (Library) is one of the valuable services made available to the students and the faculty. Its primary goal is to help transmit into action the institutional philosophy and objectives by providing comprehensive resources in all forms of media.
The goal is expressed in the basic library functions, namely; to inform, educate, to provide cultural experience and growth to the whole academic community.
Library Orientation is given during the first month of the school year to acquaint the students with different resources, their uses and arrangement.
Guidance Services
Guidance is one of the professional services that Notre Dame of Makilala, Inc. makes available to the students. The school, realizing that many environmental conflicts and influences that beset the students today has set up a Guidance Program with the following objectives:
Help ensure the admission of students who can cope with the policies and standards of school.
Provide technical services (inventory, testing, and counseling) and attend to students’ emotional and social needs.
Assist students to be goal-oriented and responsible in making good decisions in the choice of a career or vocation.
Familiarize students with the nature and objectives of the national aptitude tests.
Help prevent drop-outs or inappropriate withdrawal tendencies through the use of information obtained.
With the coordination to the registrar, follow-up alumnae to gauge effectiveness of instruction.
Health Services
Notre Dame of Makilala, Inc. maintains a medical-dental clinic as service to the students. The clinic is staffed with a physician, a dentist, and a full-time nurse. It is open from seven fifteen in the morning to five o’clock in the afternoon during school days. All students are given physical and dental examination once a year by the school Physician and Dentist, respectively.
Medical / Dental Services
The school physician and dentist render services according to the scheduled hours/sessions. They conduct annual physical/ dental check-up and consultations with the students and faculty members.
For special medical and dental treatment, a letter of consent from the parents or guardians is required from students concerned.
Nursing Services
The school nurse is available in the clinic at all times. He/She provides nursing interventions to ailing students and may dispense initial dose of medicines for minor ailments like headaches, fever, colds, diarrhea, or minor burns.
